The Racial Justice Working Group of WISC (Washington Interfaith Staff Community) invites you to the second workshop in their two-part series (attendance at Part I in the series held in 2019 is not required):
The consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic reflect the impact of structural racism in our country. It is critical for our faith communities to confront and dismantle racism and advocate for racially equitable public policies. The purpose of this WISC workshop is to:
Further develop our common language and understanding of racial equity;
Learn how to apply a racial equity assessment tool to evaluate the public policies for which we are advocating and bring transformation;
Share lessons learned from WISC working groups that are utilizing the tool and effectively promoting racially equitable public policies.
