Conversation with the White House on Hunger & Poverty in the Southwest

Join Bread for the World and local faith leaders for a conversation with the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. You will hear from Josh Dickson, Senior Advisor for the Office of Public Engagement, who will discuss the expanded Child Tax Credit and the path forward for a faithful recovery through the Build Back Better Plan. Also, local faith leaders will be sharing how poverty and hunger affects their communities.

Advocates are welcome from Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma.

Event objectives

  • Opportunity for the White House to hear from the local faith community’s commitment to ending hunger and poverty.

  • Urge the Administration to support permanent expansion of Child Tax Credit. 

  • Urge the Administration to relaunch the effort to end hunger by 2030
