Arizona nonprofits to hold press conference urging Arizona Congressional delegation to reject largest cuts in SNAP and Medicaid history
PHOENIX 一The Arizona Food Bank Network, Ability360, Children’s Action Alliance, the Arizona Center for Economic Progress, and the Arizona Alliance for Retired Americans will hold a press conference Wednesday to urge the state’s Congressional delegation to reject sweeping federal cuts to SNAP and Medicaid—programs that provide critical food and health care assistance to millions of Arizonans.
Nonprofit leaders and community members will detail the unprecedented impact of the proposed cuts to Arizona families, seniors, people with disabilities, and children—and the greater strain on already overstretched local nonprofits.
The coalition will share the urgent stakes of the budget reconciliation process now underway in Congress, and call for lawmakers to protect—not dismantle—lifelines that keep Arizonans fed, healthy, and housed.
