Action Alert: Help a child feel ready for school
Action Alert from our partners at Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest
While students and teachers rest this summer, help us make sure that all of our students can go back to the classroom equipped with everything they need to start the year off right. Your generosity can change that and ensure their school year is one of success. Your gift will be shared across all of our services - including refugee youth, foster youth, children with disabilities, and families struggling to make ends meet.
Make your gift by July 13 to ensure that each student has their gear in time for the new school year!
Take a look below at the most urgent needs and learn more about how you can participate!
See list of items needed here.
There are a few easy ways to help:
Shop from our Amazon Wishlist (when checking out, select the Gift Registry address option and the items will be mailed directly to our office.)
Make a financial gift so we can purchase the most needed supplies
Organize a donation drive through your community or church group. You can collect much needed items by hosting a donation drive through your community or church group.
Are you a Thrivent Member? Gathering supplies and packing backpacks is a great Thrivent Action Team project! Find out more about Thrivent Action Teams here.

Thank you! With your help, a student will walk into their classroom with a full backpack and the confidence to thrive! We are so grateful for your compassion and your willingness to show up for those who need it most.
