HAF New Year’s Devotional: Shared Power

ELCA World Hunger’s Hunger Advocacy Fellows have teamed up to write a series of weekly devotionals for the ELCA Advocacy Blog. The series reflects on one of the year’s early lectionary texts, Ephesians 3:10. Follow along as each Fellow discusses what they wish to see from our candidates for office during this election year.

Week 5: Shared Power

The sixth weekly devotion was written by Tomo Duke, Hunger Advocacy Fellow at Faith Action Network in Washington state. In her devotional, Tomo reflects on St. Paul’s perspective on shared community. She writes about a world where leaders amplify the collective power in our communities by emulating Christ’s ultimate power: Love for the other. She asks us reflection questions like “How does one’s inner wisdom from God show appear in how one uses power?”
