LAMA Policy Committee welcomes Carly Chamberlain!
Carly Chamberlain joins the LAMA Policy Council, accepting the call to serve a three-year term on the board.
Carly is a passionate student of Ministry at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC), where she is deepening her understanding of faith and service. Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Carly has always been committed to her Lutheran roots, which have guided her spiritual journey and sense of purpose. For nearly a decade, she has been an active member of Faith-La Fe in central Phoenix, a community that has nurtured her calling to pursue justice for marginalized individuals and to participate in dismantling systems of oppression. In addition to her studies, Carly works part-time for a State Farm agent, balancing her professional responsibilities with her dedication to ministry, and will soon begin her internship as a candidate for the ministry of word & service in the Grand Canyon Synod.
As an ecofeminist, she believes in the interconnectedness of social justice and environmental stewardship, advocating for holistic solutions that benefit all members of society. With a commitment to intersectionality, Carly strives to uplift diverse voices and create inclusive spaces for dialogue and action. Her journey is not just one of personal growth but a fervent mission to transform the world around her through faith and justice. Carly is excited to join LAMA policy council in its mission to activate our faith in love by voicing our common needs in the public square.
Please join LAMA in welcoming Carly Chamberlain to the Policy Council, and encourage her through prayer and accompaniment in this important work.
