More than 400 participants across ELCA Region 2 joined this year’s 40-40-40 Lenten Challenge, reflecting on Matthew 25 and responding through prayer, devotion, and generosity. The online giving portal for ELCA World Hunger remains open through May 31, offering continued opportunity for individuals and congregations to participate.

This month’s ELCA World Hunger spotlight shares the story of Floricel Liborio, a community leader in Stockton, CA, and the faithful response of Iglesia Luterana Santa María Peregrina. Amid fear surrounding immigration enforcement and real hunger among farmworker families, the congregation is providing grocery assistance and standing in visible solidarity.

"Intersections" is a short documentary from ELCA World Hunger that explores stories from three ELCA companion ministries who are responding to the overlapping root causes of hunger in the United States and around the world.
