Where: At home or in a location of your choice, practicing guidelines for social distancing. The event also offers in-person meet-ups for small groups (numbers will be limited; RSVP is required) from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in six locations throughout Southern Arizona:
Morris K. Udall Park, 7200 E. Tanque Verde Road;
George Mehl Family Foothills Park, 4000 E. River Road;
Kino North Complex, 3600 S. Country Club Road;
Reid Park, 900 S. Randolph Way;
Historic Canoa Ranch, 5375 I-19 Frontage Road in Green Valley;
Sahuarita Lake Park, 15466 S. Rancho Sahuarita Blvd. in Sahuarita
Cost: $25 per person for ages 12 and older; $10 per person for children ages six to 11 (free for kids under age six); individual and team registrations are available
Participants are encouraged to walk, run or hike a mile outdoors in their neighborhoods or at their favorite parks, or to log steps in pools, indoors on treadmills or at home. You can also practice a favorite hobby or activity of your choice, such as gardening, yoga, crafting, cooking, swimming, tennis or reading. Post photos or videos of your walks/activities to your favorite social media platforms using #HungerWalk2021 and tagging the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
