ELCA Farm Bill Toolkit

How to talk about and advance action on the Farm Bill in your congregation?

The churchwide ELCA Advocacy team created this simple Toolkit for your use in advancing action on the Farm Bill. As you gather in conversation at church, at synod assembly, at the kitchen table, these ELCA resources can be helpful as you discuss the importance of reauthorizing the Farm Bill in congress.

Below are some tools to support education and traditional letter writing, including:

  • An Invitation to Action (one 2-sided page)

    • introducing educational elements (your location-specific direction is great but this can also lay groundwork) &

    • basic letter writing info

  • A letter template (Word document)

Along with many helpful links to web pages, printed resources and videos, this handy resource helps you learn:

  • What is the Farm Bill?

  • What should I write?

  • Who should I write to?

  • What more can I do?

Use these resources to support your important work and ministry!

When ELCA listening sessions are complete, additional resources will be made available.
