WATCH: ELCA Advocacy Interview With COP28 Delegates

The 28th UN Conference of Parties (COP28) is drawing to a close. The annual Climate Change Conference, this year hosted in Dubai, is a forum in which world leaders, government officials, and coalitions can decide on shared goals and guidelines about resource use in order to ensure that we are taking care of our planet.

The ELCA Witness in Society team has sent a group of representatives, both virtually and in person, to represent our commitment to caring for God’s Creation. Our colleagues from State Public Policy Offices in Minnesota and California, the ELCA Office of Environmental and Energy Policy, and the Witness in Society Team sat down with the staff from the Lutheran Office of Public Policy in Wisconsin to talk about the goals, priorities, and faith based perspectives they brought to the conference. The Interview, led by LOPPW director Pastor Cindy Crane, Pastor Andy Twiton, and Hunger Advocacy Fellow Frances J. Dobbs, was hosted on the LOPPW Facebook page. Watch the interview below!
