Registration is now open for the 2025 ELCA World Hunger Leadership Gathering!
Join ELCA World Hunger leaders from across the country this September in Columbus, Ohio. This year’s theme: Do. Love. Move: Toward a World without Hunger.
The ELCA World Hunger Leadership Gathering takes place every 18 months and gathers the national network of ELCA World Hunger leaders, congregations and ministry partners for a time of networking, idea sharing and planning for our shared ministry and service.
This signature event, sponsored in part by the Mary Wennes Endowment, gathers ELCA World Hunger’s leaders for a time of networking, idea sharing, learning, and planning for our shared ministry to address hunger and its root causes in our local and global communities.
This year’s event, September 18-21, will center on Micah 6:8, “[God] has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
Who is Invited?
Each synod is invited to bring up to three participants to the event.
To reflect the diversity of our church, synods bringing three participants must ensure that at least one participant is a youth, young adult or person of color. Please contact Evie Landrau at evie.landrau@elca.org for a discounted rate request, which will be considered on a case by case basis.

What is the Cost? **
Registration cost per person is $450. All registrations include airfare, all event costs, and room and board for four days, three nights.
** Courtesy of a sponsorship gift from the Northeast Valley Consortium, THREE PARTICIPANTS from our synod will attend the gathering free of charge. If you are interested in attending as a representative of the Grand Canyon Synod, please contact Solveig at director@lamaz.org. DO NOT REGISTER (the synod office will register — and pay — for you).
Where will the event be?
The event will be held at the Marriott Columbus Airport Hotel located at 1375 N Cassady Ave, Columbus, Ohio. The Marriott offers a complimentary shuttle to the airport. Please call 614.475.7551 for hotel shuttle pick-up outside of the baggage claim area.
