We celebrate the passage of an extension to the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (the Farm Bill, which expired on September 30) until September 2024. Contacting Congress on Farm Bill measures will be a critical priority for faith-based advocates as negotiations come to the fore in 2024.

In Memoriam: Rev. Arthur “Art” Simon
Rev. Art Simon (1930-2023) was the founder of Bread for the World. He authored numerous books, including How Much is Enough? Hungering for God in an Affluent Culture and The Rising of Bread for the World. He served as the director of the Washington office of Christian Children’s Fund, and pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in the Lower East Side of NYC.
