The First Amendment and Religion
The First Amendment in the Bill of Rights guarantees freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly, and the right to petition. It forbids Congress from both promoting one religion over others and also restricting an individual’s religious practices.
A Study Curriculum on Civic Life and Faith
The preparation of this study is part of the process toward developing a social statement on these many topics related to civic life and faith. Participants’ feedback is key. The study response period is open through Oct. 15.

Worship Resources for a National Election
Updated March 2024. This 6-pg resource is provided to assist congregations in this time surrounding a national election. The readings, prayers, and assembly song suggestions could be used in settings such as prayer vigils, as part of Morning or Evening Prayer, as part of regular weekly worship in the weeks preceding or following an election, or devotions at home or in other settings.

Need help deciding? Civic Engagement Beyond Voting, an Indivisible group, is a grassroots nonpartisan organization that works to empower Arizona’s citizens to exercise their voices at the state level. They are the only Indivisible group in Arizona that is wholly focused on the state legislature.
